Thank-you for sharing this video on your page, it is a very powerful message in a short 3 minute story. It comes from someone with a heart and an honest story to tell.

It is our families story as well that runs from teenage to adult celiacs. We are often excluded from activities and outings because of this, sometimes even made to feel more uncomfortable because of having celiac, or that we can somehow control it – we are – THAT FAMILY, THAT GIRL, THAT TEENAGER, etc….

I will be attending a wedding soon and asked if I could possibly get a gluten free meal…. I felt like I was asking for something terrible when I was just trying to be included in the festivities and also remain healthy at the same time.

This video could clearly become a voice for newly diagnosed celiac’s “families” to watch as it sends the message loud and clear. I personally love the word POISON that was used in the video as that word is so accurate what it does to our systems. My exact pre diagnosis words to the Dr were, “I feel like I was poisoned”.

However, I get the message but do you think others, such as non-celiacs, will get it as clear as we do?

Perhaps if they do “care” for your company and your well being, by watching the video a change will occur. I am a firm believer that all things can change with education! Send it to everyone you know!
